Snead's Farm

We took a trip to the pumpkin Patch at Snead's farm this past weekend and we had a GREAT time.  It was a really beautiful day with perfect weather.  We got two pumpkins - one was HUGE thanks to Sydney and one was pretty normal.  We took a hay ride and even got to feed some chickens (I think they were Sydney's favorite part).  Snead's farm had lots of fun family activities and was reasonably priced (unlike the farm two miles up the road).

Round 1

I don't know why, but I decided to give potty training a try with Logan.  While he loved his new "underwears" he didn't take to they whole potty idea too well.  One thing that motherhood has taught me is to pick my battles.  And right now this will not be one of them.  So, while the "underwears" was fun they will be placed back in the drawer for a few more months.  Maybe then we will both be a little more prepared for potty training.

The Great Wolf Lodge

My sister found a sweet deal for the Great Wolf Lodge water park resort in Williamsburg, VA.  So we decided to meet up there with both of my sister's and their families.  Unfortunately (and fortunately), Heath started a new job this week was unable to come with us.  I was brave and took all three children to the indoor water park resort alone!  My family was a HUGE help and we all had a pretty fun time.  My hands were pretty full the whole time so I only took these few pictures.  You would never know I was at a water park from them, but hey, nobody drowned.

School Carnival

We went to the school carnival of my niece.  It was all outside and it was pretty good.  I have to say that I have been to better school carnivals in my day, but it was OK.  A little too expensive if you ask me.  The children had a great time though, so I guess that is what counts.  As usual I only remembered to take a few pictures while we were there.  Here are Logan and Sydney showing off their face paint.

I was surprised that Logan sat there so still to get his cheek painted.

Look Who's 1!!!!!

Look how big my baby boy is.  I know I say it every birthday for each of my children but I can't believe he is one!  Where did my little baby go?  I feel like he shouldn't be more than just three months old.  Each year and each baby time just seems to go by faster and faster.

Here is the cake I made.

We decided to have a "little bitty" party and we ate all sorts of miniature food including mini corn dogs, little smokies in a blanket, sliders, mini bags of chips, mini sodas, mini cookies, and mini cupcakes.

I guess he wants the hat off.

Wondering what all the fuss is about.

Noah didn't really get into his cake very much.  He was pretty tired by the time we got around to the cake so he wasn't happy and he wouldn't really eat much of it.  I even tried feeding him a little myself but he wasn't interested.

Now that is a classic look.

Soooo sleepy!

He found a little second wind after a quick bath and made it through presents.

We had a fun time celebrating with our "little bitty" boy!  Happy Birthday Noah!

Tuckered Out!

Logan has begun to skip lots of his naps and if he does take one they are normally pretty short.  Sad, I know!  However, on occasion he will just be too tuckered out to make it all the way until bed time and this is how I will find him.  So cute!
Here is my little man looking way too grown up to me.  He wanted to have spiky hair so this is the result.  I just want to squeeze him.  Isn't he handsome!

Helping Out!

I was busy the other day and couldn't get Noah some more food on his tray immediately. Logan decided to "help out" and got Noah some of his puffs for me! He sure did get some.

Thanks Buddy!

When We Get Bored...

We get out the pants and get in the tub! My children love to paint themselves and each other. Of course this can only happen in the tub just before taking a bath. They have fun and if I keep them in the tub the cleanup is minimal, so why not?

You would think that they would get cold but they could do this all afternoon!

Pirates!

Some of my nieces and my nephew were in a community play about Pirates. Sydney and Logan really wanted to go and you could get in for half off if you dressed up like a pirate. So, here are our little pirates. Not too bad for just throwing these costumes together at the last minute!

Boating

We were lucky enough to go out for an afternoon/evening on my brother's boat. It has been a really long time since I rode on a boat and we had a great time! I forgot how fun it can be to be on a boat. Ryan (my brother) took us to Colonial Beach and it was just a perfect evening. Heath and I went tubing and we all got out and played in the water for a while. Ryan even took us to a little beach and the children were able to collect a few shells. I only took one picture right after we boarded the boat because I was scared that I would drop the camera overboard or something. Here are the children all ready to go. They were seriously excited to get a chance to ride on a boat. They have been asking constantly when they will be able to ride on it again.

What a perfect day!
