Battle of the Bulge

I have been debating about whether or not to post about this topic and finally decided - what the heck, toot your own horn. So, several months ago Heath and I decided that we needed to do something to try and lose all the weight that has crept on since we met five years ago. We had several friends or acquaintances that had all been on a weight loss program called The Weigh Station. They all had amazing results so we decided to give it a try. Heath started the program in June and I started in July. Since then we have both lost a significant amount of weight. Heath is down 55 pounds or so and I am down a little over 30 pounds! We are no longer officially on the diet (this means we now longer pay to go to the program each week) but we try to stick to the plan for a week or so ever now and then. Here is a picture taken before we started the diet.

And here we are a little more recently.

I will try and post some more full body shots soon. I will have to take some. I try and avoid those whenever possible.

Carving the Pumpkin

Last week for FHE we decided to carve our pumpkin. Sydney thoroughly enjoyed this. I made Heath do most of the dirty work. He was a good sport about it. Sydney picked out our design - a ghost and a bat. Lighting it up was, of course, her favorite part.

Logan got stripped down and had a lollipop in his high chair to keep him out of trouble. He didn't seem to mid though - he loves lollipops! Can you tell that he was tired?

Here is the finished product

And here is Sydney showing off her masterpiece.

Radomness

I have to admit that I have been terrible at taking pictures and remembering my camera over the past month or so. I managed to get a few shots and here are a few random ones that I thought were cute.

The Best of Friends

Sydney is getting so grown up! She really enjoys spending time with her friends. Play dates and days that I do daycare are her favorites! During the past month Sydney has been able to attend three birthday parties and now she asks about her birthday party all the time. I guess that I will have to give in and throw a little party this year.

I must say that I admire the love that Sydney shows to anyone she meets. Everyone she knows is her friend and she never tires of hearing stories about them. My heart melted the other night when I asked her who her best friend was...her response - "You are mom." So Sweet!

The next two pictures were taken at a local farm/pumpkin patch while we were attending a birthday party. Her favorite part was climbing up on all of the animal gates.

Mmmm Mmmm Good!!!

Our children really like lollipops. I mean who doesn't? I know that I love them.
